Where We Use AI — And Where We Don't
Every service we sell is listed below with a plain answer: does artificial intelligence touch it, and if so, doing what. Some sit in between — the tool offers AI features you can choose to use. No service is left off the list.
Nobody Has Settled The Rules Yet
AI arrived in professional software faster than anyone wrote rules for it. We would welcome clear standards. For a profession bound by confidentiality obligations and accuracy requirements, working out what a tool does with client data should not mean reading a licence agreement twice and guessing.
Until those standards exist, we will set our own and publish them. That is what this page is.
Our position is not that AI is bad. Used well it saves real time, and some of our customers use it daily. Our position is that you should know when you are using it, and be able to say no without giving up the product.
Service By Service
| Service | AI | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Dynamic Post | Uses AI | The Grok content writer is built in and off unless you turn it on. When on, you choose which sources it may draw from — the preferred list ships with the IRS, SEC, Treasury, the Federal Reserve, FASB and the AICPA, and you can ban any domain outright. The monthly articles it posts by default are written by our team, not generated. |
| SiteJet websites | Uses AI | The builder can generate a first-draft design and first-draft copy from a description of your firm. You edit everything afterwards, and you can ignore the AI entirely and start from a template instead. |
| Direct Hire Recruiting | Uses AI | AI-enabled platforms are used to map a market and surface candidates. Screening stays human. Work history, motivation and cultural fit are assessed in conversation, never by a machine. |
| Dynamic Content | No AI | The seven monthly articles, the tax news video and the Life Events Library are written and produced by our editorial team. Human authors, human review. |
| Email newsletters | No AI | Mail Sprinkler sends the same human-written articles. No generated content, and your contact list is never used to train anything. |
| Financial calculators | No AI | One hundred calculators running fixed formulas, updated quarterly against IRS law changes. The arithmetic is arithmetic — there is nothing to hallucinate. |
| Custom calculators | No AI | Built by our developers from your spreadsheet or worked example. A person reads your logic and implements it. |
| Logos | No AI | Designed by people. Two concepts, drawn for your firm. |
| ICFiles | No AI | Encrypted file transfer. Nothing scans, reads, indexes or learns from the documents you or your clients upload. |
| Hosting and email | No AI | Servers and mailboxes. Your correspondence is not scanned, and it is not training data. |
| MyWeb and WordPress websites | No AI | Templates designed by our team and built by our developers. |
| SEO | Optional | Keyword research, strategy and the work itself are done by people, and reports come from measurement rather than generation. If your site runs WordPress, the SEO plugins — Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO — include their own AI content features. Those are yours to switch on or ignore; we do not use them on your behalf. |
Four Things We Commit To
1. You can always turn it off. Every AI feature we offer is optional. Switching it off never costs you the product or the subscription.
2. Your data is not training data. We do not feed your client documents, contact lists or correspondence into any model, ours or anyone else’s.
3. Nothing is published without a person. Generated text is a draft. It goes out when someone at your firm decides it should.
4. We will tell you when this changes. If a service starts using AI, this page changes first and we say so — rather than adding it quietly and updating the terms.
Questions about any of this, or want a service configured with AI switched off from day one? Call 877-251-3273 or send us a message. We would rather answer than have you guess.
Dear accountant, are you ready to grow with us?
